By craig Upon receiving this briefcase I was first delighted with the finish of the exterior. Nice texture to the leather covering and good color (I chose the burgundy.) The over all appearance get high marks including the gold trimmed latches, handle and feet. The handle is a little bit fatter than most and it goes well with the depth of the case. The interior has a good finish as well with a soft lining (that I have not had long enough to evaluate it's durability) and good layout for folders, pens and such. The hinges work well and lock securely into place without a struggle (a point that is a pet peeve of mine with lower priced units of this kind.) The locks work smoothly and the overall feel of the case when I carry it is nice. I like the little extra depth as I carry too much stuff anyway and my contracts folders and miscellaneous paperwork all fit delightfully well. I rate this briefcase 4 out of 5 for value, fit and finish.

By Jim Barnes The product page for this item states under "Show More" details that the briefcase has a "fully suede lined interior". When the briefcase arrived I discovered that the interior is not lined with suede, nor any other kind of leather. The interior is lined with vinyl plastic sheeting -- similar to that used to make shower curtains.

By trackstar Leather? Well, maybe the handle and maybe (big maybe!) the interior but the outside is genuine Texas longhorn vinyl. I may use the thing for storage but I would be embarassed to bring it to work.
