Great Buy !! May 17, 2010
By Pushpak Hi,
I have been using this rugged backpack for the last 4 months in all types of weather scenarios - 90+ in Southwest (AZ) to near freezing in WA. The bag has been very comfortable on my shoulders for long hikes - I typically hike for 3-4 hours at least. I have not loaded the bag upto the brim as with other reviewers, so cannot comment on the heavyness of the bag once it is full, but I carry the following gear - so that should give you an idea of the items I carry :
(a) Canon EOS 50D (b) Canon Rebel G (film camera) (c) Canon Lenses - 70-300mm telephoto, 20mm prime wideangle, 35-80 mm standard zoom (d) Camera battery charger, cables, memory cards (2 x 8 GB), CR123 batteries (e) HOYA filter kit for the lenses (f) Camera manuals and quick-reference sheet (g) Rain cover for the bag (h) Quantarray 19x Tripod (i) A couple of energy bars, bananas, two water bottles, trail-food. (j) Rain jacket for Northwest hikes
Yes - the bag can accommodate all of the above and yet leave some space to spare :)
A very good buy -- Heartily recommended !!

Best camera backpack to date May 21, 2011
By Susan V. Bailey This pack is comfortable for me to wear, I am 5'6" and a "senior". I bought this for trip abroad where I need my gear but also need something I can handle by myself. This has room for 2 camera bodies 3 lenses, and "stuff". I can get my MAC airbook and Ipad in the back section. The top is great for the other items I want to keep with me. such as meds, a jacket, and wallet. I have several camera backpacks and this one is the first that fits all my requirements. Its comfortable, has enough room and doesn't look like a camera bag. The grey fabric is good looking and so far cleans well. I would recommend this to anyone traveling.

Good bag with one problem... May 09, 2010
By Gerald Khoo My wife got me this bag and I really like the color, look and feel of it. I took this on a photo trip overseas and I brought in this the following... 1. A 15 inch laptop 2. 3 x SB-80DX flash 3. 1 x D300 camera body 4. 3 x lenses (Tamron 17-50, Tokina 11-16, Nikon 70-300) 5. 2 sets of remote flash triggers 6. Tripod 7. Accessories (e.g. cardreader, charger, batteries, etc)
When it got all filled up, the bag was pretty heavy... so here come the one problem... the straps on the slings that round the arms keep getting loosened and makes the back sink lower. I tied a knot with the strap but it still slowly loosened. This is about the only complain I have, but other than that, it is a very nice bag.

high quality; perfect for my sony a55 dslr and dell 15.4" laptop with 9 cell battery Jul 24, 2011
By winstoncubed i love national geographic ever since i was a little kid, the photos always inspired me to become a photographer. i enjoy taking photos, especially when i travel, hoping one day that one of my photos will land in the magazine; needless to say, i am happy to pay the extra $ for this product knowing the $ is going to support national geographic. this is a very high quality bag. very well designed, i am extremely happy with this purchase and will recommend this to everyone. this bag holds my sony a55 dslr with two lenses, a lens hood, a battery charger, two extra sony batteries, my dell 15.4" laptop with the 9cell battery(the battery sticks out but fits perfectly in the bag), dell power charger, an extra laptop 6 cell battery, notebook mouse, usb cables, network cable, iphone4 & charger. Still has plenty of room left over for other items.

A great bag Jul 15, 2011
By Tim Rice I wanted a bag with lots of space without being bulky. I also wanted something to carry both my camera (Canon EOS 60D with EFS 18-135mm lense) as well as my laptop (Lenovo W500).
The laptop fits, but VERY snug. If my laptop had a smaller battery it would fit perfectly so people with a 15" MacBook should be fine.
Overall, a very nice bag.
