I bought these for my wife for x-mas and am disappointed by the quality of these earrings. They seem to be made of a cheap plastic and I find it difficult to believe these are actually made of silver. I suspect a simple Archimedes Principle test would verify this either way. Nonetheless, even if this is silver, it means these rings are not solid but are hollowed out, and ultimately, they have a very cheap plastic-like feel.

I bought these for work use, and they are great. A change from my drop ball ones I wear a lot, and I love the secure clasp. Very light to wear, just the right size. Great price.

The part of the earring that goes through the earlobe is much thicker than any I have ever used before. So much so that it is very uncomfortable ... difficult to push through and remove, while wearing throughout day, skin around insertion becomes red. This applies to both earrings. Disappointing. Would not purchase again.
